Yachtmaster Ocean

Enjoy our excellent shorebased teaching facilities at our base in the port du Golfe-Juan, and take in the beautiful views of the French Riviera, stretching from the famous yachting hub of Antibes all the way to the beautiful bay of Cannes.

Course Description

This five day course is the first step for those aiming to achieve the RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Ocean Certificate of competence. It is however equally suitable for recreational yachtsmen and women wishing to further their current knowledge.

The course will uncover the mysteries of astro-navigation, worldwide meteorology and use of the sextant.

Pre Course Requirements

It is assumed that if you are planing to partake in one of our Yachtmaster Ocean shorebased courses that you have either completed the Yachtmaster/Coastal Skipper shorebased course or have equivalent knowledge to this level. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you wish to discuss your previous experience with us prior to booking onto this course.
