PB2 Direct Assessment

Located in the pretty port of Golfe-Juan, Riviera Sea School boasts a very special powerboat course venue, situated right in between the famous yachting hub of Antibes and the beautiful bay of Cannes.

Course Description

Often we hear from prospective powerboat students wishing to complete the Powerboat Level 2 certificate but have gained the appropriate experience whereby the full two day course may not necessary. In these instances we offer what is known as the Powerboat Level 2 Direct Assessment. During this assessment you will be expected to demonstrate the skills and knowledge set out in the Powerboat Level 2 syllabus, providing you meet this criteria you will be awarded with your certification.

The Powerboat Level 2 Assessment has become a popular choice for those working in the Superyacht Industry where experience has been gained driving the tenders etc. It is also particularly useful for those of you on the hunt for a position on a yacht but perhaps hold one of the Australian or New Zealand boat licenses that are not valid here in europe.

It is important to note however that there will be no tuition involved during your assessment and we suggest that you contact us to discuss your current experience prior to booking onto this course.

Upcoming Courses

The Powerboat Level 2 Assessment can be carried out at anytime throughout the year and are scheduled according to demand. Depending on your situation this assessment can be conducted at our base in Golfe-Juan or onboard your boat or yacht tender anywhere in the world.
