The RSS Team
Who are we?
Here at Riviera Sea School we pride ourselves on our friendly approach to training and the lasting relationships we have developed over the years with our students and clients. All of this we attribute to the family orientated team we have, all working with the strong belief that the best quality training can be brought to you at a fair and honest price. Founded by Sam and his partner Nicola, both whom exercise extremely active roles in the running of the school have brought together a small army of Instructors, all vetted and put through our vigourous RSS boot camp to bring you only the very best training and customer service you will find on the Cote d’Azur! Read on to find out a little bit more about us and our team on the ground or at sea as the case might be 24/7 ensuring we keep up our reputation as one of the leading providers of RYA Training here in the South of France.

Sam Kemble-Taylor
Instructor & School Principal
Founder and Principal of RSS Sam is an RYA Yachtmaster Instructor (power), Advanced Powerboat Instructor, RYA VHF Assessor and an RYA Personal Watercraft Trainer. Running regular courses throughout the year, Sam is superbly placed, playing an extremely active role in the day to day running of the school, teaching as many courses as time will allow him. It is certain that at some point during your experience with us here at RSS you will get a chance to have a chat with Sam if not join him on one of his own courses.
In early 2011 Sam was also selected by the RYA to become an RYA Centre Inspector for Superyachts. Regularly called upon throughout the year Sam is well equipped to answer any questions you may have regarding running your own Superyacht RYA Training centre.

Nicola Maxwell
Training Coordinator
Indispensable to RSS, Nicola, our Training Coordinator ultimately ensures that your experience with us is enjoyable from start to finish. It is most likely she will be your first point of contact and will ensure that you leave your course(s) with all the information and guidance you will need to take your next step on the training ladder. The RSS team would certainly be lost without her!

Gwilym is Riviera Sea School’s Chief Instructor for Shorebased Courses. He is a Yachtmaster Ocean Instructor, Power and Sail and has been instructing and examining the RYA Scheme for over 20 years. He has a wealth of knowledge in boating and yacht training and has completed many successful Atlantic crossings.

Max
Sea Dog!
Max has been part of the RSS family since he was a pup, raised on the water, he is certainly the most sea loving of us all. Helping out here and there providing us with endless hours of fun, the RSS team would not be the same without him!
